Helck Anime Receives Teaser Trailer, Airing in July
The anime adaptation of Helck has been generating buzz with the release of a trailer, a July premiere date, and two visual teasers. The creative team behind the show has also been unveiled.
Tatsuo Satou, known for his work on "Atom the Beginning" and "Madan no Ou to Vanadis," will serve as the director, with Yoshinori Deno (chief animation director for "Sakugan") as the animation character designer. The scenario writers are Toshizou Nemoto ("Bakuten!!" series composer) and Mitsutaka Hirota (composer for "Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire" series).
Eiji Iwase from Studio Tulip (art director for "The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague") will be the art director, with Miho Hasegawa from Hiyori (color designer for "The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs") as the color designer. Photography director will be Tsuyoshi Shimura from T2 Studio (known for his work on "Sakugan"), and the music composer will be Yoshihisa Hirano. The animation production studio for the show is Satelight.

The Helck manga series was published between 2014 and 2017 and consisted of 12 collected volumes. It was featured in Ura Sunday magazine and the MangaONE app and was released under the label of Ura Shonen Sunday Comics. The plot revolves around a battle for the succession of the Demon King, who was defeated by a hero. The competition takes an unexpected turn when a formidable human named Helck joins in, despite his proclaimed hatred for humanity.
